Chamber Music Program
Violin • Viola • Cello
The language of music is meant to be spoken with one another
and shared!
Chamber music settings give voice to each developing musician's individual sense of self-expression, while simultaneously exploring harmony and tension between the members of the group. Students playing music with others develop deeper musical sensitivity and grow as young people and musicians. Ensembles are organized by interest, age, ability, available repertoire and are coached by our exceptional faculty.
-
Weekly chamber music coaching from MSSC faculty: all with training specific to working with students in chamber music settings and experience and accolades for their performance and education work with young musicians.
-
Multiple ensemble performance opportunities during the year: Faculty will work with the students to provide as many performance opportunities as desired in addition to performing at the student recitals and MSSC Annual Benefit Concert.
-
The social benefits of working together in small groups toward a common goal: nurturing musical friendships and learning responsibility and dedication, and most of all, having fun!
